What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are a versatile treatment type that helps skin to appear healthier, softer, and more supple. It uses a specialized chemical solution to exfoliate the skin and remove dead and damaged skin cells, revealing a new, healthy layer of skin. What Can I Expect During a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels can be performed at our Phoenix office. We offer 3 peels from ZO® Medical:

ZO® Stimulator: This light peel brightens and evens the complexion. There is no downtime required, although you may have some slight redness immediately afterward.
ZO® 3 Step Peel™: This is a deeper peel aimed at reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and acne. You may experience significant peeling of the skin afterwards. Patients will need to be pre-conditioned using the ZO® Skin Health/Medical line one month prior to treatment.

Chemical Peel Results and Recovery

Your recovery will depend on your unique chemical peel and goals for your skin. You can expect some peeling in the days afterward and may need more or less downtime depending on your peel. You will discuss at length what to expect afterwards during your consultation at our Phoenix office. Most patients benefit from a package of regular chemical peel treatments, depending on your goals and chemical peel choice.
